This unique hybrid program will share the life-changing and radical self-responsible skills, tools, and principles of Nonviolent Communication with the deeply grounding, integrative, and insightful process of mindful body awareness and acceptance.

The program learning style is highly experiential and practice-based.

This blended program is a culmination of Toni’s extensive experience in facilitating NVC, Somatic Therapy, mediation, mindfulness and Couples therapy.

This training draws from the internationally renowned principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and from Toni’s 14 years of experience facilitating communication workshops, facilitating NVC in Women’s prisons in California, providing mediation, counseling, and communication training for couples, families, and other groups with differing perspectives and interests, including FDR (Family Dispute Resolution).

What is Nonviolent Communication (NVC)?

NVC is a communication model and set of principles designed by Psychologist Dr Marshall Rosenberg to support clear, self-responsible, considerate, and authentic communication.

What is a Mindful Body Approach?

This is a technique grounded in traditional mindfulness in which we can explore our reactions, responses, impulses, urges, and emotions in our physical body by observing the body’s experiences and allowing the experiences to be present without judging them, getting attached to them, or trying to change them.

Previous Participants’ Feedback:

Toni is an excellent facilitator – her pace was just right, with a good balance of experimental learning and practice to complement her teaching. The handouts were excellent. I totally recommend this course for anyone wanting to improve their communication.

NVC is a beautiful way to communicate, and Toni has a gentle and non-judgmental way of delivering, showing how powerful it can be to use.

I highly recommend the Compassionate Communication for Professionals Workshop. Toni has a deep experiential understanding of compassionate communication and great skill in immersing others in the NVC approach through her teaching. I learnt how to just be more with my vulnerability, my body, my feelings and emotions, my needs, and to feel more confident to apply the experiential learning of NVC in my relationships self and others.

I was always curious how to improve my communication skills. This workshop really helped to get the basics of non-violent communication that I’m already using in my day-to-day and professional life. It’s a skill that is easy to learn AND that gets even better with practice. I highly recommend this training for anyone wanting to start and learn the basics of better communication.

Toni is fabulous in that she is super, super knowledgeable, relatable, kind-hearted, and real!
